Anthony "Ant" Francis

Founder and President of Rhythm Empowerment Network

Anthony “Ant” Francis is the Founder and President of Rhythm Empowerment Network (REN), a community-based organization dedicated to changing the lives of youth, adults, and seniors through structured dance and movement programs. A native of Atlanta, GA, Ant’s journey with dance began at age 10, when a moment at his birthday party sparked a lifelong passion that would shape his future and purpose. With over 30 years of experience as a dance choreographer and instructor, and more than 15 years as a certified fitness instructor, he uses hip hop, the Atlanta-born Yeek dance style—which he created—and movement-based programming to build confidence, encourage physical activity, and support positive personal development. Ant’s influence on Atlanta dance culture has gained national recognition, including features in the Freaknik and TLC documentaries and coverage in The New York Times. Through REN, he leads youth-focused programs, adult dance fitness experiences, and senior-friendly movement workshops in partnership with schools, libraries, and community organizations. His work centers on using dance as a tool for empowerment, connection, and long-term community impact, inspiring the next generation through movement, culture, and purpose.
